Silent captain roars FC to victory…FC Buxton 3 – 2 Health and Safety LaboratoriesThe curtain came down on FC Buxton’s season on Wednesday night as they entertained the Health and Safety Laboratories works’ team, in their traditional end-of-season friendly match. Despite a bombardment of the HSL goal for the majority of the encounter, FC were made to work hard for the win, and will be relieved to have ended the season on a high.

FC make an ash of it as Whitby get revenge..Whitby Wanderers 2 – 1 FC Buxton
Whitby gained revenge for the 7-0 drubbing at the hands of FC Buxton earlier in the season with victory in a tight encounter on Saturday morning. In a warm-up to that afternoon’s Unibond Premier League match between Whitby Town and Buxton FC, FC failed to take advantage of their dominance throughout the match, with several good chances wasted.

50p head strikes back…
Inter Blades 2 -2 FC BuxtonFC Buxton returned to the scene of one of their heaviest defeats on Saturday morning, as they made the short trip to Sheffield to face the Sheffield United supporters’ team in a blistering April heat wave.
With self-elected Chairman Stuart Corbett the only survivor in Saturday’s squad of the team which suffered the 11-0 mauling at the hands of The Blades in late 2007, it was his job to motivate his fellow team-members and remind them of the importance of an improved performance here. However, his suggestion of a pre-match Haka to psyche out the opponents did not go down too well with the rest of the FC boys.
