Windy MillersFC Buxton 0 - 0 RotherhamGaffer Merse called a 9:15 meet for a 10:00 kick off to see if FC could meet the high noon deadline and be out of the changing rooms in time....... it didn’t happen, players were still turning up at 9:50! We kicked off late on a bobbly pitch and a strong wind. Captain Moss won the toss and we started the game with the wind on our backs and shooting down hill! It started very even with Dom finding himself in a couple of good positions but the final composure was lacking and he failed to find the target with both chances. The Millers were a strong physical team and produced a magnificent save from late stand in keeper Mark (The Cat had man flu). It finished even in play and scoreline. The half time team talk was given by Merse and was basically let’s keep it solid for the first 10 minutes and see where we are then. We lost 5-1 away to the Millers so we knew they were a very capable team. The 2nd 45 kicked off and FC weathered the early storm and settled in to the game and started to attack. Kyle ‘Berbatov’ Hollins found himself through twice in quick succession but never quite got the ball under control and the away keeper came out and made two good saves. FC keeper Mark caught everything that came his way but never really had a save to make in the 2nd period. Team – Mark, Stu (Chaddy), Mossy, Micky, Merse, Dren, Bammer, Rajan, Dom (Ash), Kyle (John B) & John (Ryan). Best wishes this week go to The Cat and his feline man flu. The big question on everyone’s lips is who will the gaffer pick next week in goal with Mark putting in a near on Man of Match display. Up the FC Bucks!
